Emergency Infant Services began in 1977 to provide immediate emergency assistance to children. While other services existed for long-term assistance to children and families, Emergency Infant Services made it possible for families to get immediate help.
The average family seeking assistance from Emergency Infant Services does so an average of two times. No appointment is required and there is no waiting period, which makes this a great solution for families who just need a little help in an emergency situation. Emergency Infant Services can provide formula, diapers, food, clothing, medicine and other basic human needs of infants and children under five years of age.
There is, unfortunately, a great need for this organization in the Tulsa area. One in five of Tulsa’s children go to bed hungry, and a third of families with children in diapers have difficulty affording them.
Emergency Infant Services is a non-profit organization that relies on donations. 92 cents of every dollar donated goes directly to client services. You can help them by donating money, time, or items such as formula, diapers, baby wipes, etc. Visit their website to donate or to learn what items are needed the most. This organization helps more than 1,400 children each month.
SunDANCE has chosen to help Emergency Infant Services this month as a part of our SunDANCE Cares program. We are donating 1% of all orders place on March 28, 2016 to this Tulsa organization. Help us help our community by placing an order or by donating directly to EIS!
The mission of Emergency Infant Services is to meet the basic human needs of infants and children, five and under, whose families are in crisis or emergency situations. Our priority is to assure that infants and young children do not suffer during difficult times when their parents are unable to provide infant formula, milk or food.
