Michelle’s Favorite At-A-Glance Planner

With life’s constant changes having a place to write down everything going on currently in my work life helps me stay organized. My planners (yes I use more than one!) keep everything running smoothly from one event to the next!

At-A-Glance has done a great job of capturing the needs of professionals while considering the want for pretty items. This planner features a faux-leather cover and pops of color for a professional look, weekly spreads with open writing space and room for notes, tabbed monthly sections with clean and open writing blocks, 13 months from January to January, and a poly pocket for storage.

DIY Button Bowl!

Last week the DANCE Partners all got together and each of us made a button bowl. After seeing these all over Pinterest we just had to give it a try ourselves! This was such an easy and fun project to make together!

button bowlWhat you need:

  1. Buttons
  2. Glue (We used Elmer’s Glue-All)
  3. Mod Podge (We used the glossy kind)
  4. Sharpie
  5. Balloons
  6. Cup (or just something to hold your balloon still while you are gluing)

  1. Blow up balloon to desired bowl size.
  2. Draw a line around your balloon showing about how far down you want to go.
  3. Put the Elmer’s glue on a small section of your balloon.
  4. Start placing your buttons.
  5. Once you have all your buttons on the balloon let dry.
  6. Once dry, put a layer of Mod Podge over the buttons, be generous!
  7. Let Mod Podge dry completely, we let ours sit over the weekend in the office.
  8. Peel your button bowl away from the balloon.
  9. Enjoy your new DIY Button Bowl!

The Search for the Perfect Post-It Dispenser…

I use post its for everything. I go through them like crazy. Lately I’ve noticed all the other Dance Partners have super cute post-it dispensers, so I began my quest for my own.

It has to represent my style, you know? It has so say “I’m a professional, but I’m a FUN professional.”

Or… something like that.

I looked through our gigantic catalog and oh my goodness, we have a BUNCH of options. I thought I might share some of my faves:

Craft Corner! DIY Mousepads!

This week the DANCE Partners all got together and made mouse pads! This was such an easy and fun project to make together!

  1. Cork (We used the cork roll and each cut off the size we needed!)
  2. Scissors or X-Acto Knife
  3. Scrapbook Paper
  4. Mouse Pad Template (Or you can just trace the mouse pad you already have!)
  5. Mod Podge (We used the matte finish kind)

How to make:

  1. Take your cut out template and trace this onto your cork and the back of your scrap book paper.
  2. Put Mod Podge onto your cork and place your scrap book paper onto the top. (Don’t worry if it doesn’t line up all the way)
  3. Let completely dry, we let ours dry over night.
  4. Once dry, go back and trim the cork and scrap book paper with your X-acto knife to make even.
  5. Place a final coat of Mod Podge onto the mouse pad and let dry.
  6. Enjoy!!
