Today is National Compliment Day and we are so happy that you visited our blog to read about it!
Created in 1998 by Kathy Chamberlin and Debby Hoffman from Hopkinton and Concord, New Hampshire, these women wanted to remind people that through giving compliments, a positive connection with anyone can be easily achieved.
Today is a great opportunity to say something positive about the people you come into contact with. When was the last time you heard words like “You did a great job”, “You look gorgeous today”, “I appreciate all that you do”, or similar phrases? It feels good to be recognized for a job well done, or hearing thoughtful remarks. Sincerely-said compliments can make someones day, build their self esteem, and cause a ripple effect of compliments to play out in the environment! Wouldn’t it feel great for your entire work place to be constantly giving compliments to each other, talk about positive work environment!
We are all busy, this I know, but take time out of your day today to give some compliments. Tell your boss her hair looks great, or call a family member just to say hello and you are thinking about them.
I appreciate you taking time out of your day to read this blog, and I hope you have a very Happy Compliment Day!
